Welcome to My Flower Journal
I love my family, my faith and flowers. I like to splatter paint and turn it into flower art. I also enjoy doing watercolors and experimenting with other types mediums. The beautiful state of Utah is my home and where I spend my happiest moments with my husband, children and grandchildren. —Tammy
I have always loved flowers and gardens. I can’t imagine a world without them. On my blog you will find flower and garden discoveries from my own backyard or beautiful gardens we visit in our travels.
Tutorials for Splattered Paint Flower Art and more.
A few years ago I was playing with my acrylic paints and started splattering them. Then I added dabs of paint creating the impression of wild flowers growing in a field. I loved the spontaneity of it and how each painting turned out different. I posted my art with some step by step tutorials and found other people were drawn to this type of art. My splattered paint flower art posts continue to be my most popular. You will also find tutorials and tips for watercolor flower wreaths and other flower art projects on my blog.
I share my favorite paints, brushes, books and other supplies I use to create my flower art. Many posts on my site contain affiliate links. I only share products I use and like. I make a small commission if you make a purchase through these links. I helps keep My Flower Journal running at no extra cost to you!
